About Core Computer
Apple A Day Computer Hire Pty Ltd was established in Albany Creek by David Dobbins in December 1979. And with growth came change, We became an apple solutions centre in 1984 but Apple required a name change, the now Core Computers was born March 28th 1984. David moved to retire in November 2012 and his son Nathan Dobbins purchased the family business.
In December 2023 Core Computers was purchased by Ricky Prout and Venturer Technology.
Core Computers has been in Albany Creek for over 40 years. We have seen the area thrive to what it is today. Our service department is fully-equipped to work on any job brought in.
While we have a next-day workbench policy on our jobs, we can typically start working on any task right away. But, if your concern has high importance or needs to be checked immediately, we have priority repairs available by request that may incur additional fees.
Service charges start at a low fixed price and can increase depending on the job. While other repair shops charge you by the hour, our labor charges are based on how much work we have done instead of how long your machine has been sitting on our bench.
This is because installing, troubleshooting, and updating a computer all take a long time. So by assigning a fixed rate to our customers, we believe that we’re giving them the most of what they pay for and hopefully, make them feel more satisfied.
Depending on the job, our average fix time can range from one to three days: but again, some repairs can be done in only a day. Please be aware we tend to work on a “first in” basis unless prioritized.
